The 25 Best Tweets about Variety‘s Chelsea Clinton Cover

Yesterday, Variety’s Co-Editor-In-Chief tweeted an image of their new cover with Chelsea Clinton on it, and her tweet sounds like it was written by Chelsea’s mother.
How cool does Chelsea Clinton look on our Power of Women, NY, cover?

This sparked instant backlash from the internet, as the only people who want Chelsea Clinton to run for office are those emotionally and financially tied to America’s dynastic liberal family. I scrolled through the responses to find the best and most creative, and what you will see below is not representative of the majority of the 4,000+ responses to this tweet.
Most people tweeted back with either a shot about her looks, or #MAGA folks propagating Clinton conspiracies. That said, there was plenty of liberal and well, rational, objection to this forced PR campaign for a person whose most famed professional accomplishment is a failed stint at NBC News that would not have happened if her name was Chelsea Smith. She claims that she’s not running for office, but given that she’s also done features with People and Time in the last day, my bullshit meter is going ballistic right now. Here are the 25 best replies to this magazine cover.
