Daisy Ridley May Be the Next Lara Croft

Coming off hot from a gig in this galaxy’s biggest franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Daisy Ridley is one of a number of actresses being considered for the leading role in Warner Bros and MGM’s Tomb Raider reboot, Deadline.com reports.

The role of archeologist Lara Croft is still very much up in the air though at this point. Conversations regarding Ridley’s involvement have taken place, but no offers have been made and producers are keeping their options open at this stage.

Croft was famously portrayed by Angelina Jolie in two Tomb Raider films, based on the popular video game. The movie reboot is believed to be based on the game reboot, 2013’s Tomb Raider, which depicts the origin story of a young Lara Croft.
