Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk Will Get an Extended Sneak Peek Ahead of Select Rogue One Screenings

Movies News Dunkirk

Much has been reported about Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, despite the fact that we’ve seen very little from the film itself. For some Star Wars fans, that’s about to change. Dunkirk will be getting a supersized preview in front of select screenings of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, according to Collider.

Rumors of this mega-preview began circulating Monday, and were eventually confirmed Tuesday. The sneak peek will be seven minutes long, and will be attached to 70mm screenings of Rogue One. Disney is slated to release the film in 70mm IMAX 2D in over a dozen theaters in Alabama, California, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas and Canada.

Dunkirk follows the evacuation of British, Belgian and French forces from Dunkirk’s beaches in 1940 after they were surrounded by the German army. The evacuation was, as Winston Churchill put it, “a colossal military disaster.”

Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance and Harry Styles star in the film, which is set to hit theaters on July 21, 2017. Until then, check out the film’s first teaser here.
