The Harry Potter Films are Coming to IMAX Theaters For One Week

Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is hitting theaters soon, and Warner Bros. is already planning on it being their next big film franchise.

And to get people excited about Harry Potter again, the studio is rereleasing the original eight movies into theaters for one week starting on Oct. 13.

This will be the first time that the first two entries of the series will be available in IMAX. The whole series will be shown in 2D, along with some sneak peeks at Fantastic Beasts, with prerecorded intros from Eddie Redmayne and other cast members.

“Harry Potter is one of the most beloved film franchises of all time and is incredibly important to the history of IMAX,” said Greg Foster, CEO of IMAX Entertainment, in a statement.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters on Nov. 18. You can find participating theaters and tickets here. Fantastic Beasts’ latest trailer is embedded below.
