Giant, Shirtless Jeff Goldblum Statue Unveiled in London, Is More Warmly Received Than Trump
Photos by John Phillips/GettyA 25-foot tall Jeff Goldblum statue has, uh, found its way to London today. The 350-pound statue features Goldblum in his trademarked bare-chested lean as Jurassic Park’s certified hunk/chaos theoretician Dr. Ian Malcolm.
The statue was unveiled next to London’s Tower Bridge, with plans for it to remain there through next week. Subscription service NowTV erected the (let’s just call it what it is) monument as an homage to the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park, which is included as part of their subscription package.
According to a fly on the wall (maybe it was … The Fly?), the statue took over 250 hours to create. Though it hasn’t garnered Trump Baby Balloon levels of attention in London, the statue has elicited a flurry of social media reactions, from THR calling it sexy in quotations, as if that’s a legitimate topic of debate …

… to this dude, who really just had some logistical questions:
25ft Jeff Goldblum statue pops up in London to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park, which was June 11th, a month ago. Also none of the movie was filmed in London nor is Jeff Goldblum a native of the English capital. So let’s just bask in its nonsensical glory. pic.twitter.com/TKQKozleMn

As for us at Paste, we really only had one reaction to the goofy, bizarre statue for this goofy, bizarre celebrity:
