The latest and final trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has hit the web, and all we can say is “wow.” It’s a huge reveal that essentially tells us we’ve all been expecting the wrong movie ever since the first footage was revealed. As director J.A. Bayona says himself in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the film will essentially undertake a complete genre shift at the halfway mark. After sucking its leads from the last film (Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard) back into an ill-fated rescue mission, it seems that the real plot revolves around more genetic inbreeding to create a new dinosaur described in the trailer as “the most dangerous creature that ever walked the Earth.” That dinosaur—along with a bunch of others that seem to have somehow been released into the wider world—then runs amok, menacing the characters in a claustrophobic mansion setting. There are shots in the trailer that conjure up images straight out of films such as The Wolf Man, with the dinosaur braying in front of the full moon.
