The Justice League Team up Against Steppenwolf in This New Clip

One of the most interesting elements from superhero team-up movies is watching how each character’s power set and abilities complement each other, and this new Justice League clip showcases just that. In the video (above) provided by Warner Bros. (via ComicBook.com), Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman take on the evil Steppenwolf, portrayed by Ciarán Hinds in motion capture.

Each character gets their own action beat in this clip, with Cyborg (Ray Fisher) demonstrating his technopathic abilities, and Steppenwolf catching a missile with ease (“Primitive beings,” he says mockingly)—upon a sudden flood, Aquaman (Jason Momoa) swims in to assist his teammates. Like Marvel Studios’ The Avengers, this DC film looks to have more levity and a fun team dynamic. Unfortunately, neither Superman nor his porn ‘stache are anywhere to be seen … yet.

Fans and critics did not take well to the glum and violent Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so we’ll see how the change in tone for Justice League will play out when it releases in theaters on Nov. 17. Avengers director Joss Whedon helmed reshoots and is a credited co-writer on the film. You can watch the latest trailer here.
