Watch the Newest Trailer for The Lonely Island’s Popstar

The second trailer for Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is here, and the Justin Bieber jokes are even more specific and rampant.

The movie stars Andy Samberg as the arrogant Conner4Real along with the rest of The Lonely Island gang, Jorma Toccone and Akiva Schaffer, as Conner’s DJ and lyricist, respectively. It’s like Hot Rod all over again, except now Rod is a stupid world-famous celebrity and not a stupid hometown stuntman. Written, directed and produced by the trio, the movie is a mockumentary that follows Conner 4Real as he is faced with a failed solo album and the option to reunite his old boy band.

In the newest trailer, we see of more Conner’s irreverent behavior, particularly with an instance inside the Anne Frank house, which calls to mind another young celebrity who acted similarly inside the same landmark… We also get a glimpse at one of Conner’s auto-tuned anthems: “Mona Lisa (the original basic b***h).” One of the best jokes of the trailer, however, comes when Conner’s Manager (Tim Meadows) sighs in reply to the popstar, “Conner, we’ve talked about this, 30 Seconds to Mars is the name of a band, not a fact.” Another great moment, surely to be one of the movie’s highlights, finds Seal being ravaged by wolves, obviously entirely Conner’s fault.

Also starring Sarah Silverman, Bill Hader and Imogen Poots, with guest appearances from real musical artists such as Adam Levine and Carrie Underwood, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping hits theaters on June 3. Watch the newest trailer above and the first trailer here.
