Jefferson Twilight Fights Vampires In This Exclusive Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart Clip

The Venture Bros. is finally coming to an end, with the movie The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart capping the series after seven seasons. Fittingly for the show, the film is coming a solid five years after the final season aired on Adult Swim. But Team Venture knows that these things take time. But now Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick’s finale for the beloved cult animation is almost here—and we at Paste have an exclusive sneak peek at a scene.

Our scene involves some personal favorites of mine: Jefferson Twilight (Charles Parnell) and Dr. Orpheus (Steven Rattazzi) from my beloved Order of the Triad is getting ambushed by—what else? Black vampires. And in Chicago, no less, which is apparently the turf of The Blood Brothers. Also, Dean (Michael Sinterniklaas) is there, in peril. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Orpheus is as ineffective as always, the lead vampire (could this be Jay Pharoah’s Nuno Blood?) is styled like Wesley Snipes’ Blade, and we get plenty of the lore-riffing jokes that come along with the series’ most parodic side characters. Naturally a little holy water does the trick, but not before Dean worries that the vampires will enter the car through the A/C as clouds of smoke.

This vampire gang is just one obstacle the team must overcome as it searches for a missing Hank, which, alongside a new invention from Doc and a mysterious woman from the Venture family’s past, makes up the plot engine of the film. Also…blood? Like, Blood of the Baboon Heart? Maybe Jefferson Twilight is needed to help solve the mystery of the movie’s ridiculous subtitle.

Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart reunites the key players from the cast, including James Urbaniak, Chris McCulloch, Patrick Warburton, and many more. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart on Digital on July 21, and Blu-ray on July 25.
