There’s a Wu-Tang, Bill Murray, Martin Shkreli Musical in the Works
Image via MartinShkrelisGame.comLast December, it was revealed that pharmaceutical nuisance Martin Shkreli bought the single, exclusive copy of the $2 million Wu-Tang Clan album, Once Upon A Time In Shaolin.
What seemed like an infuriating but solid business deal took a turn for the absurd when a rumor began circulating about an incredible clause in the album’s purchasing contract. Apparently, Wu-Tang could legally steal the album back if they teamed up with Bill Murray to commit a full-fledged heist. While this clause turned out to be false, two budding NYC musical creators thought that this spectacular premise had to go on.
Enter: Martin Shkreli’s Game: How Bill Murray Joined the Wu-Tang Clan, a forthcoming 70-minute musical adaptation of the heist that never was.
Creators Lauren Gundrum and Joel Esher are currently looking for cast members to play Murray, RZA, GZA, Ghostface and Martin Shkreli during auditions this weekend. According to Yahoo, the part of The Ghost of Ol’Dirty Bastard is already taken.
