Hear Billy Bragg Perform at Daytrotter on This Day in 2013

Outspoken British musician Billy Bragg has dipped his toe in all manners of activism throughout his career. From his music to his social media to his 2017 book Roots, Radicals and Rockers, Bragg takes his reputation as an activist seriously.

His 2013 album Tooth & Nail featured just as much political gusto, though often taking shape through metaphors. On the cryptically titled “No One Knows Nothing Anymore,” which Bragg performed at a Daytrotter session on this day (May 21) in 2013, he sings, “Nobody really knows the score / Since nobody knows anything / Let’s break it down and start again.” During the session he also performed “Handyman Blues,” “I Ain’t Got No Home In This World…” and “Sexuality.”
