Tom DeLonge Quit Blink-182 to Go Full-Blown UFO Investigator

Blink-182 have since moved on by recruiting Alkaline Trio singer Matt Skiba to fill DeLonge’s shoes and are set to release a new album titled California on July 1.
Meanwhile, DeLonge has also been busy. In a new interview with Mic, DeLonge said he is creating a media franchise called Sekret Machines dedicated to documenting and promoting evidence for the existence of aliens through novels, documentaries and music from DeLonge’s other band, Angels and Airwaves.
Due to the serious time commitment required to get the franchise up in the air, DeLonge said touring with his former band wasn’t an option:
When you’re an individual like me, dealing with something that’s a national security issue, and you’re being gifted with the opportunity to communicate something you’ve been passionate about your whole life — something that has the opportunity to change the world over time — being a small part of that is enormously important for my life path. But I can’t do everything. I can’t tour nine months out of the year with enough time to do the enormity of what I’m setting out to do.
