Car Seat Headrest Share Must-Hear New Single, “War Is Coming (If You Want It) [March Mix]”
All proceeds from the track will go to the Transgender Law Center
Photos by Rich Fury/GettyWe haven’t heard much in the way of new tunes from Car Seat Headrest since last summer’s superlative Teens of Denial, making the acclaimed indie-rock outfit’s release of a brand new song today particularly thrilling.
Car Seat have shared the “March Mix” of a new track titled “War Is Coming (If You Want It),” with all proceeds going the Transgender Law Center as part of Bandcamp’s day-long fundraiser for the organization.
“War Is Coming (If You Want It) [March Mix],” wryly described as “a song about not murdering people” on Car Seat’s Bandcamp page, is available for $2 for one day only, according to the band’s Twitter. The single itself—as opposed to this alternate mix—will see its official release later this month, also per Car Seat’s tweets.
The Transgender Law Center has seen an outpouring of support since the president’s hateful (and apparently, meaningless) pronouncement that “the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military.”
Listen to and/or buy “War Is Coming (If You Want It) [March Mix]” via Bandcamp here while you can, see Car Seat Headrest’s tweets about the track below and stay tuned to Paste for the official release of “War Is Coming (If You Want It).”
On Friday, Bandcamp is donating its share of sales to the Transgender Law Center https://t.co/MxfLNZ19Ta
