Lutalo Announces New EP, Shares "Push Back Baby"

Producer-songwriter Lutalo is back with the lead single off their new EP AGAIN, out August 25th via Winspear. On “Push Back Baby,” Lutalo’s hypnotic lull reverberates through a jazzy, circuitous lo-fi backing track. It’s a meditation on the impossible knots of our socioeconomic reality, greyed out and tired with a rebellious kick.

The fuzzy, electronic undercurrents of AGAIN are sardonic and questioning. There’s a bit of folksy twang to Lutalo’s lullaby voice, harkening back in hidden tribute to the anticapitalist heroes of midcentury folk. “I’m just asking people to question it,” they note of the topics at hand.
