PasteMagazine.com is looking for an editor of our new College department. The position is part-time (approximately 2 to 3 hours/day), freelance and remote.
College Editor
Pay: $500/month
Requirements: College student, recent graduate or grad student with significant writing and editing experience on a school or professional publication. Must have a familiarity with the Paste voice and a deep knowledge of pop culture, particularly as it pertains to campus life. You must be a fast and thorough editor, as you will be working through a lot of copy. Familiarity with basic CMS preferred (we use Movable Type).
Job Description: To assign and edit lists, features and galleries for our stable of freelance writers, and identify campus-life news items for our news editor.
Note: Any writing the College Editor does will be paid on a per-piece base in addition to the monthly editor’s stipend.
