The Stranger Things Score Will be Released on Vinyl
Images via NetflixStranger Things was drenched in nostalgia for the ‘80s, so it should come as no surprise that the show’s score is going to be released on vinyl. The Stranger Things score was both evocative and very of its time, and it also managed to be just as popular with critics as the show itself.
The first volume of the series’ score is set to drop in vinyl form on Oct. 28, with volume two following shortly thereafter. The double LP will arrive in a gatefold sleeve with album credits, additional art and several different color variants. There will also be a 4xLP limited-edition box set from Invada that should be out before Christmas.
The CD version of the score will be available on Oct. 14, which will be good news for those of you who are doomed to listen to CDs in your car. As for the show itself, it was just renewed for a second season, which will consist of nine episodes that will come to Netflix sometime in 2017.
Until then, though, you’ll at least be able to add some new vinyl to your collection. Stranger Things can be viewed ad nauseum on Netflix, or you can watch Eleven showcase her rap skills here.
