The Guggenheim Grotto: Happy the Man

The Guggenheim Grotto’s debut, …Waltzing Alone, established the group’s reputation as a mostly acoustic folk-pop outfit with staying power. Sophomore effort Happy The Man delivers the same heady lyrics and adroit melodic sensibility, but the sonic canvas feels much larger this time around. Case in point, the blissfully sugar-sweet chorus of “Fee Da Da Dee” blasts off into the electro-pop firmament, leaving your expectations of these talented singer/songwriters miles below in the dust.
