The xx have just released what could possibly be their second “sneak peek” of their new album.
Just as they uploaded a mysterious untitled song to their Spotify playlist last week, a new song now stands in its place. Only a dash is placed in the name and artist field, but anyone familiar with the band can tell it is their signature sound; the new 55-second clip features the same electronic beats and electric guitar riffs that intrigued listeners from the 2009 release of xx.
We’ve waited four years for a follow-up to 2012’s Coexist but it looks like we might have to wait a bit longer until we know for sure. In the meantime, you can listen to the new clip through the band’s Spotify playlist here.
