Watch William Prince Perform at the Paste Party in Austin Presented by Ilegal Mezcal

Canadian country singer/songwriter William Prince performed one of the most memorable sets of our Paste Party in Austin this year, winning over a host of new fans on the indoor stage at High Noon. Born in Selkirk, Manitoba, and raised in the Peguis First Nation, he’s now based in Winnipeg, joking that he’s a star back in Canada, “which is like 80% of a star here in the U.S.” His latest album, Stand in the Joy was produced by Dave Cobb and released just a month after his SXSW appearance.
