'Welcome' is a solo piano EP of sacred jazz featuring interpretations of and improvisations on a range of sacred music themes from the Christian tradition;
1) a praise-and-worship song from the British gospel tradition, recorded by one of the luminaries of British gospel music as a choral track; and re-interpreted herewith;
2) a Welsh folk hymn;
3) a chorale tune from the German church music tradition (c. 1677 and there is a debate as to whether its origins are Catholic or Protestant), which goes by different English words these days;
4) a wonderful, well-known hymn tune;
5) a rather less-well-known hymn tune.
