Description

Musically, Qats’ debut album is a near-constant joyride. The lyrical subjects range from universal and wide-eyed to introspective and personal, but no time is wasted on brooding melodies or slow tempos. The sound here exists in the delightful spectrum of excitement, comfort, and catharsis. Arrangements recall Paul Simon at his most fun with the occasionally surprising twist of electronic drums and synthesizers.
