The David Motel began as a way for singer/songwriter, David Brooks, to stay creative after his former band dissolved. He bought some
recording gear, created a blog site and began posting home demos periodically.
But he couldn’t shake the need to perform and record with other musicians. He
then struck up a friendship with Dave Coleman of The Coal Men. They realized
they had many musical similarities and decided to record an EP with Dave
Coleman producing. This evolved into a full length record and other great
Nashville musicians were brought on board for the sessions including: Dave
Racine, Jared Manzo, Eamon McLaughlin, Seth Timbs, Tommy Keenum, Justin Emmert
and Julie Lee. The David Motel evolved
from a small idea into a musical outfit with greater aspirations.
The David Motel's debut album “People, Places, Things” will be released
in early 2015.
