Al Franken Will Resign, Takes Parting Shot at Donald Trump, Roy Moore

In the face of sexual harassment accusations from seven different women and mounting opposition from his colleagues, Al Franken has announced that he will resign from the U.S. Senate.

Franken said that some allegations against him are false, while others “I remember very differently.”

“But this decision is not about me. It’s about the people of Minnesota,” Franken said. “It’s become clear that I can’t both pursue the Ethics Committee process and at the same time, remain an effective senator for them…I may be resigning my seat, but I am not giving up my voice.”

As you see in the video above, Franken also took a parting shot at Donald Trump and Roy Moore: “I aware of the irony that I am leaving while a man who has bragged on tape about his history of sexual assault sits in the Oval Office and a man who has preyed on underage girls is running for the Senate with the full support of his party”
