Nobody – Not Even Fox News – Can Get a Republican on Air to Defend Trump

Usually, it’s not difficult to get any politician to come on cable news and deliver a set of talking points to push some agenda they’re currently working on (or just simple self-promotion since they’re always raising money). But no one—not a single member of the president’s party—will go on air and defend Trump’s defense of “some very fine people” amongst a crowd of torch wielding neo-Nazi’s in Charlottesville. President Trump has never been more separated from the Republican Party, and based on his tweets this morning defending confederate monuments and attacking Lindsey Graham, it doesn’t look like he will close that gap any time soon.
