Watch: Courtney Love Tries to Warn People About Harvey Weinstein…in 2005
Screencap via TwitterIn a red carpet interview with Natasha Leggaro at a Comedy Central roast, Courtney Love briefly worried about being sued for libel, and then dropped this knowledge bomb:

She was ignored, of course, like so many were ignored throughout Weinstein’s long and disgusting career committing sexual harassment, assault, and even, allegedly, rape. Love later tweeted that she wasn’t one of his victims, but her career was irreparably hurt for speaking out:
Although I wasn’t one of his victims, I was eternally banned by CAA for speaking out against #HarveyWeinstein#rapehttps://t.co/8giwNkrC5t

Nothing will be more disturbing than the stories of Weinstein’s deeds, but it’s becoming more and more frustrating to understand just how “open” this open secret was in Hollywood, and how long it was allowed to persist. As Jake Weindling wrote, it was even written into his contract. This is a black eye on the entire system, not just one man.
