Snapchat’s Good Luck America Returns to Answer “Who is Donald Trump?”

In January 2016, Snapchat launched Good Luck America, its first (and still only) in-house show about the turbulent political times America is currently going through. In its first season, host Peter Hamby broke down the political process to a millennial-heavy audience that would rather get its news on a smartphone than from the “Situation Room.” Episodes featured sharp political insight, kept a quick pace and made effective use of the app’s distinct visual style.

Hamby is continuing all of that for season two of the show, which debuted today on Snapchat and will attempt to explain President Donald Trump’s administration to those who couldn’t care less about “palace intrigue.”

In the season two premiere, Hamby (a former CNN correspondent) chats with Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Republican strategist Tim Miller, The Atlantic’s David Frum and others to answer the all-important question: “Who is Donald Trump?” Is the 45th President the people’s champ? Could he really be an autocrat who is hellbent on subsuming every bit of power? What if he’s actually the “accidental president”? What would that mean for his administration?

While he doesn’t go so far as to tell the audience which descriptor best fits President Trump, Hamby does give a compelling case for who President Trump might be. And he gets in a golden shower joke along the way, so it’s not totally noncommittal.

Forthcoming episodes of the show will feature Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), rapper Killer Mike, Jon Favreau, and Jon Lovett and Tommy Vietor from the Pod Save America crew. Find out more here.
