Paris Is Getting a Nudist Park

According to a campaigner working on the project who communicated with CNN, the exact location of the nudist park has yet to be decided, but it will be more than likely located on the southeast side of France’s capital near Lac Daumesnil.
The proposal was put in a written submission to the city council by the Green Party of Paris. The environmentalists from the party stated France is a top world destination for nudists and with only 155 naturalist holiday centers in France and two million Belgians, British, Germans and Dutch coming to France to shed clothing, space is getting tight.
The nudist lifestyle has becoming more popular in Paris, but under the current French law, public nudity is against the law resulting in a $15,000 fine or up to one year in prison.
Paris’ 372-member nudist association currently uses the Roger Le Gail swimming pool in the 12th arrondissement as the only location in the city that allows private nudist events and is restricted to only Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The pool is becoming more crowded which resulted in the group advocated for a public place.
Jacques Frimont, vice president of the Association for the Promotion of Naturism in Liberty (APNEL), told 20 Minutes, “The nudist just wants to get rid of their clothing. To be free, accept his body how it is, enjoy the benefits of the sun.”
