Marvel’s next big production will be on the small screen this fall, specifically ABC. Above is the first full trailer for Inhumans, which is created by the same guy who brought us Iron Fist, so it’s probably going to suck.
The Inhumans are a group of ethereal beings who dwell on the moon in the city of Attilan. Most members of the royal family have developed a kludge of random superpowers due to the Terrigen Mists created during an ancient war. You might have seen the Inhumans being altered by the Terrigan Mists in 2015 during Agents of SHIELD’s second season. But while the Inhumans have remained an integral part of AoS, there probably won’t be much crossover in the Inhumans’ first season.
Members of the royal family include Black Bolt (Anson Mount of Hell on Wheels) who leads the Inhumans and has a supersonic voice. He’s married to his cousin, Medusa (Serinda Swan), who can’t turn people to stone but can grab them with her hair. Maximus (Iwan Rheon of Game of Thrones) is leading a revolt against his brother Black Bolt, which is why the Inhumans quickly land on Earth in the first season. Other Inhumans include Karnak (Ken Leung from Lost), a priest and martial artist, and Crystal (Isabelle Cornish) who can control the elements.
In a questionable marketing strategy by Marvel, the premiere will screen in IMAX theaters on Sept. 1 before debuting on ABC Sept. 29. Watch the first trailer above.
