It’s Negroni Week! Here’s How To Celebrate
Geoff Peters from Vancouver, BC, CanadaThis week is Negroni week, which means if you’ve hit up your local bar you’ve likely seen a lot of the Negroni-inspired cocktails available. Negroni’s are traditionally made out of one part gin, one part vermouth and one part Campari, and then garnished with an orange peel. While the aperitif has remained largely unchanged over the years, many bars and bartenders offer their own unique takes on the classic cocktail.
Negroni Week is a global initiative that has bartenders sell those unique creations, giving $1 of the sale of each to the charity of their choice. The week originally launched in 2013 with just 100 bars. This year, more than 3,500 bars in 28 countries around the globe are participating. The bar that sells the most Negroni-inspired cocktails this week will also score $10,000 from Campari to add to the bounty they’re giving to charity. Imbibe will also be giving one randomly-selected participating bar a $1,000 donation.
If you’re looking for a participating bar or restaurant in your area, you can check out the full list here.
