Looking for a unique way to decorate your tree this year? How about covering it with whiskey?
To celebrate the season, Lake’s Distillery is selling ornaments that are literally filled with the holiday spirit. The glass ornaments are being sold in a six pack and can be filled with your choice of whiskey, vodka, or gin. Each set is $41. Individual ornaments are also available for $24 (but really, why wouldn’t you just buy six times as much for less than double the price?).
The whiskey set will include six ornaments filled with Lake’s blended whiskey. The gin and vodka options however, offer a bit more variety. With gin, you’re getting two ornaments each of the company’s regular gin, sloe gin, and damson gin. For vodka, you get the company’s original vodka, as well as two ornaments filled with caramel vodka and two with espresso vodka.
Having ornaments filled with booze should certainly make holiday celebrating a bit more interesting. Can you imagine telling grandpa to pour himself a dram from the tree? Should be pretty epic.
The ornaments are currently only available at the distillery for pick up, but they’re expected to be sold at Master of Malt soon enough. If you can’t wait (are there people who already have their tree up?), you can also try your hand at making your own as well, using fillable ornaments.
