Watch the GIF-Filled Video for New M.I.A. Song “GOALS”

M.I.A. has premiered the music video for her new track “GOALS.” The mellow production is courtesy of Branko, who previously collaborated with M.I.A on her last album AIM.
The music video is composed of GIFs of M.I.A.’s live performances, created by artist Jaime Martinez. In the description for the video, M.I.A dedicates the song to her “hardcore” fans, stating, “THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNFALTERING DEDICATION AND SUPPORT. YOU HAVE GIVEN ME A SLIVER OF HOPE IN HUMANITY.”
The release comes just days before Meltdown Festival, an annual culture event in London which M.I.A. is curating this year. The GIFs from the video will be featured as an art installation at the festival. M.I.A shares the lineup with artists including Princess Nokia, Crystal Castles, Mykki Blanco and Giggs.
