Atlanta’s Music Midtown Lineup Announced, Featuring The Killers, Twenty One Pilots, Beck and Deadmau5

Music News Music Midtown

Today, Atlanta-based music festival Music Midtown announced its lineup for its sixth year, including headliners The Killers, Twenty One Pilots, Beck and Deadmau5. The festival will take place in Piedmont Park across four stages.

This year, the festival features performers targeted at a younger age group and will include The Lumineers, G-Eazy, Alabama Shakes, Collegrove (Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz), Kesha, Band of Horses, Big Boi, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, CHVRCHES, James Bay, DJ Mustard, Leon Bridges, DNCE, Melanie Martinez, Raury, Daya, St. Lucia, Mayer Hawthorne, Lucius, Zella Day, The Coathangers and Peter Bjorn and John.

Live Nation Atlanta president Peter Conlon explained the thinking behind the slate to the AJC:

Our audience is 17-34. That’s the audience that wants to go to festivals. You’ll get the older people who have one act they want to see and don’t think the ticket is worth it for one act and don’t want to stand around all day. It’s really a younger experience. We didn’t do as many in that age range last year as we did the year before (when Eminem, Jack White, John Mayer and Zac Brown Band headlined), so we’re going back to our previous model.

Instead of the festival being a half-day on Friday and a full day on Saturday, as it was in previous years, it will be set for two full days on Saturday and Sunday. The festival starts at noon and ends at 11 p.m. EST on Saturday, Sept. 17 and ends at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18.

Tickets will go on sale starting on June 24 on the festival’s website. General admission tickets are currently $125, VIP tickets are $600 and Super VIP tickets are $1,200. Check out the full lineup via the .gif poster below.
