This deluxe single includes both "In New York City" as well as Brad's last EP, titled "Oh Well My Love Farewell."
"In New York City" is a single song released February 12th, 2013 by americana & folk rock artist, Brad Jones. The song's construction and production were highly influenced by the late, great rock & roll group, The Band.
Lyrically, "In New York City" relates to a life experience had by one of Brad's closest friends. From heartbreak and confusion to resurrection and a new and improved understanding of self-worth. The tune was co-written and produced by Nashville's own, Brad Jones and Dustin Ransom. Brad recorded the song's video alongside his upright bassist at an old loading dock in the heart of Nashville.
"Oh Well My Love Farewell" was recorded a little over a year ago, live to analog tape with producer Mitch Dane at Sputnik Sound in Nashville. The band tracked the songs in a day's time. The tunes are extremely organic and they mostly represent Brad's evolvement and transition into folk rock.
Brad is currently working on a new record scheduled for release this winter.
