Sleepless was written at a very isolated and destructive time in my life. I was trying to get the feeling back, when I probably should have just left it behind. I would stay up all night obsessing over it and I was acting out in destructive ways. It felt really good to pour those feelings into the lyrics, which means a lot more to me now. Playing it live brings back all of the emotions back, but in a really powerful way. I love playing Sleepless for a live audience and feeling like everyone in the room is connected with me. I think everyone can relate to it in their own, personal way.
