Khalid Rivera is an Actor/Recording Artist who approached show business as a precocious performer appearing in the Broadway shows, THE CAPEMAN (produced by Paul Simon) and JUAN DARIEN (directed by Julie Taymor). He also performed at Carnegie Hall, sang the National Anthem in Madison Square Garden for the WNBA NY Liberty team and was a part of the Broadway Kids. He has done several tours, Film/TV, and festival/club appearances. He's also been featured in several media outlets worldwide.
Later on, Khalid ventured into music. His first two singles, EVERY NITE, and SALVATION played in numerous clubs and radio stations worldwide. SALVATION made the #1 spot on LOGO TV’s, The Click list video countdown. It was also the #9 video of the year on LOGO TV. EVERY NITE was also #1 for 3 weeks on LOGO TV, featured on BPM TV Canada and made LOGO TV’s, Top 10 Video Of The Year countdown two years in a row.
Khalid self-released the pulsating single, WHO DO U LOVE. It was added to several music video networks, record pools and radio stations worldwide. It charted in the top 20 on Masspool's: Dance / Crossover / Top 40 / Underground Breakouts chart. It debuted at #31 on the One Nation Under A Groove: Mix Show Top 100 Traxx. It was also the #9 video of the year on LOGO TV. Who Do U Love even made it on the top 10 finalists: USA Songwriting Competition, for best Dance/Electronica song. Exclusive remixes were done by DJ Gustavo Scorpio, Klubjumpers, DJ Greek/DJ Zilos and the late Aaron Carl.
Due to his music success, Music Plant Group signed Khalid and released ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. It charted on several music charts worldwide. Most notably, #1 in the North East Dance music chart, #1 on Reverbnation NYC EDM chart and #10 on the King Of Spins chart. He was also nominated for Best Dance Artist in the Indie Music Channel Awards.
Khalid's music career was on the rise, but he missed acting and decided to pursue it again. He's since booked several TV co-starring roles, lead/supporting roles in films, national tours, and musicals. His films have been shown at film festivals worldwide.
