Noelle Johnson

For fans of:Regina Spektor, A Fine Frenzy, Rosi Golan

Noelle Johnson is an Indie-pop singer-songwriter who's style reflects those of Alison Sudol, Regina Spektor, Rosi Golan, and Bon Iver. Born in Tyler Texas, her and her family settled in the little town of Sequim, Washington on the Olympic Peninsula. Having sung her whole life, she didn't start experimenting with writing until she was 18, and by 20 music had become a serious dedication. Drawing inspiration from her experience growing up in a small town surrounded by wilderness, Noelle's songs reverberate the intimate and honest beauty of her natural surroundings. Noelle's arrangements incorporate delicate and immersive vocal layering with the usual suspects in indie-pop, Piano, guitar, ukelele, banjo, violin, organically produced percussion, and electronic sounds. Noelle's First EP, Beautiful Soul, is a cross section of her experience growing up in small-town America, and every angst-ridden, emotionally violent, and ultimately beautiful moment being young promises. From a painful journey through issues of self-worth and body image in the titular track "Beautiful Soul", to questions of love and loss in the tracks "Autumn Song" and "When Love Comes", as well as a dreamy and romantic journey through North Europe in "Irish Sea". Her lyrics deliver a delicate and innocent story of an everyday American youth most can relate to, and leave you with the hope and wonder of trying to figure out what comes next.
