Drop what you’re doing, folks, we’ve got a new Tommy Wiseau project.
The creator of The Room, Best F®iends and a number of other mind-altering products has made the jump to animation, bringing friend Greg Sestero of The Room fame along with him. The press release for their new, animated sci-fi “pilot” (it’s 5 minutes long) calls the two “Earth’s most unpredictable cult filmmaking duo.” We’re not sure if that’s entirely accurate, unless you’re counting Wiseau’s unpredictability in front of a camera … which surprisingly, SpaceWorld seems to have harnessed for actual comedy. The results are considerably more polished than we would have expected. Here’s your synopsis:
Wiseau stars as the mysterious bounty hunter known as TX, a man in search of his home planet, which he knows absolutely nothing about. Sestero’s Drogol is TX’s lifelong nemesis and SpaceWorld’s most bloodthirsty killer. Together, they explore and explode SpaceWorld’s vast but dingy universe of limitless possibilities, technologies, and stupidities.
