LCD Soundsystem Expand U.S. Tour
Photo by Frazer Harrison/GettyBrooklyn dance-rock band LCD Soundsystem have added more dates to their upcoming U.S. tour.
In support of their latest album, American Dream, they’ve added two new tour dates to their 2018 West Coast headline run.
On April 29, due to popular demand, the band will play a third show at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Calif., and along with their shows for the two previous nights, TV On The Radio will support.
On May 1, LCD Soundsystem will play a special intimate show at the Observatory in Santa Ana, Calif. Soon after, the band will play a pair of previously announced shows with Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the Hollywood Bowl.
Their 2017 LP American Dream was their fourth studio album and the band received their first Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for their single “tonite.”
Paste ranked American Dream at #7 on our list of the 50 best albums of 2017. In Paste’s full review of the album, Grant Sharples wrote, “American Dream acknowledges hardship, and while most existential records tackle it head-on, Murphy and crew take a more indirect route. It’s difficult to pinpoint what that route is at the moment, but American Dream is the kind of album that will unveil itself over time.”
